I had the opportunity to check out the construction of the new fire station. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the new police station can’t be built in the side parking lot behind the fire history museum. Plenty of space to build a three story station with the first level being used for police cars to pull in with an overhead door. All City services would be in one location and the museum would remain intact. It’s not too late to accomplish this and it would leave the proposed park as open space as originally designed. I challenge our City leaders to consider this.
