I also witnessed the little girl getting hit by the backpack at the Teitelman track meet. The little girl and a group of other children were playing near the ramp at the entrance to the bleachers. Their parents were a few feet away, and they were watching them play. Anyone could have been standing or walking in that spot at that moment. Unless you were looking up, there was no way to know what was about to happen. The bigger question is why were these middle school students unsupervised at a school event?
