As per The Herald, a teen was possibly bitten by a shark while surfing off a Stone Harbor beach. Fact. Sharks are in the ocean, along with hundreds of other fish and mammals. When we leave the beach and enter the surf, we become part of their food chain. I started surfing when I was 14. I am now 72 and still enjoy riding the waves and I know when I enter "their world" there is always a chance I could be bitten.............or worse. I hope the young man will be ok and get to surf again. It is a wonderful sport. "Be safe out there".
