Cape May ES and West Cape May ES are not being shut down; instead they are being studied to Merge into one building and district. WCMES preschool students already attend CMES (with no complaints) leaving about 36 K-6 resident students to fill an entire WCM school building. Both schools share the same Principal, curriculum and services, no changes except the building. School choice students (39) make up the remaining enrollment. All CMC schools have now fewer students.. Is the answer to take from other schools to stay open? Both schools districts are excellent and within walking distance.
