Court House - To the commenter who said: “I have no idea what Twitter pays, but "median" and "average" aren't the same thing.” You are correct, but the “average” gives you a point exactly in the middle of total salaries paid, while median gives you a point that is skewed to either the up, or downside in a workforce, and can be deceptive. If half of Twitter employees make more than $280K (median), but the average salary is only $146K, as the example in the Spout presents, then many of that half under $280K make significantly less than the $280K, and they were laid off too. I just added needed perspective.
