Cape May County - There is indeed state imposed Camp Fire Restrictions in effect due to high fire risk for the foreseeable future. Cape May County is included. Stage 3 Restrictions, which we are currently under, means no camp fires or burning of any vegetation. Note: Propane Fire Pits ARE PERMITTED (no embers, so minimal risk). Listen, I love a good camp fire, it is an ideal summer time activity. Just for a little bit it isn't safe. There is so much false information going around, I wanted to make sure the truth is posted.
