Cape May County - I was reading the statistics regarding no cash bail.There is a higher rate of inmates sitting in jail that are pre-trial that are non violent inmates but the new law is holding inmates in custody until the courts are freed up.These are the inmates that get murdered in jail from convicted inmates and or commit suicide while awaiting a hearing.Unfortunately if they do manage to survive ,they lost their job and end up homeless due to eviction. There should be changes made to prevent non violent criminals separated from violent criminals.Traffic offenders and petty thief inmates jailed most often.
