Had they not come across the ocean to pursue those they thought were insolent, for wanting freedom no less, it might not even have been considered. Subjection of the people is something that was carefully considered by our founding fathers, and caused many disagreements before it was resolved. With freedom comes tremendous responsibility, one that has dire consequences if misused. Why are some cities forcing their own citizens to make decisions they don’t want to make? Catch 22 ?
