Trump need not be convicted of a crime to be disqualified from serving as President. Certain qualifications for President are self-evident and self-executing. You are either 35, or you are not, you are either a natural-born US citizen, or you are not. You have either “given aid or comfort to the enemies” of the US Constitution (14th Amendment section 3), or you did not. Not only did Trump express his “love” for the insurrectionists prior to their convictions, he has vowed to pardon those subsequently convicted of seditious conspiracy. That, my friend, is “aid or comfort”, no SCOTUS required.
