For those who feel upset when the police stop a vehicle if the windows and the windshield are as black as coal, it's not racial or socioeconomic profiling. It's identification of scofflaws. So stop those guesswork and judgement activities and instead stop the people who intentionally deactivate the lights over the license plate. This would occur in the dark - so the police would be making almost random stops. Profiling ends. Check the list of unpaid tolls for the license plate offenders and confiscate the vehicle if appropriate. I'll bet that a lot of those cars have tinted windows anyway.
