For those still under the impression Ocean Wind 1 is "cancelled", onshore work commenced on the electrical cables to connect the wind farm to the existing power grid at substations in Lacey Township and the former BL England plant in Egg Harbor. Offshore construction is scheduled to start between April and June 2024 with the wind farm still scheduled to be operational between 2025 and 2026. Nothing has been cancelled.
