The rush to electrify everything has revealed the many weaknesses in the technology, because when I fill my 10 year old car, I still get the exact same range as when it was new. A 10 year old electric vehicle will have lost 20% or more of its range, and if it’s cold out, even more. I do not pay more for insurance like electric vehicles, because while gas vehicles have more fires statistically, they are not even close in severity. I am confident in the technology, I know a new battery will not be released tomorrow leaving my car almost worthless, and me in a hole. Playing fools games? Not me.
