Excellent opinion in the most recent print edition highlighting the lack of competition and checks and balances for our CMC electeds. The only challenge for most is getting on the ballot, which is done by direction of the party boss, not the people. Candidates win “races” against no one and then celebrate their victory - which only goes to show their arrogance. They are accountable to no one, and are never required to produce results. Our commissioner board is begged for more transparency and told “nope, you’ve got enough. We will never move forward as a community if we have no leadership.
