Canada made what may well be an unrecoverable error when they threatened to turn off the electricity to our northern states and perhaps don’t realize how badly they hurt their future prospects. With that one move they have shown they are an unreliable trading partner and cannot be fully trusted in the future. Once these states disconnect from Canada's grid, and they will, who will Canada sell its electricity to? The North Pole? Santa? Themselves? Plans are being made to divorce ourselves from most trade with Canada. Canada thought the tail can wag the dog. 40 million people vs 340? No way.
