Could the many drainage and paving projects in Cape May city have been coordinated to avoid turning the streets into a maze? Beach Avenue is now a patchwork eyesore. Lafayette street is a mess and has been closed in portions for weeks. By contrast, the drainage installation and repaving of Pennsylvania Avenue was professional and expeditious. These projects are limping into their fifth month with no clear or clean end in sight. Our streets look like they've suffered much snow and ice in one of the warmest winters on record. When will the damage finally be resolved?
