Cape May is known for aggressively handing out parking tickets. Except, recently, the aggression was against local employees finally returning to work after struggling through the COVID-19 crisis. With zero warning to them, parking meters suddenly became active. Many income-starved locals returning to partially-reopened businesses found on their windshield, at the close of their first day back to work, a ticket demanding a hefty fine. Nice move, Cape May! This is just what your local business employees needed after three months of joblessness. Every one of them should be reimbursed.
