Cape May Beach - In preparing the budget this year, Lower Township Council told the manager that it is an election year, no tax increase. Well they all got re-elected and are safe for two to three years, what will they do? First they are currently giving themselves a pay raise. Second, after New Year's when all is quiet they will start the process to pass an ordinance to start the aquatic center. They believe we will forget by next election that they raised our taxes and stuck us with the high cost of the aquatic center. We don't have a YMCA and Morey's never built a water park on the mainland because of the numbers.
