Cape May Beach - As a Lower Township taxpayer I have a real problem with a position of animal control Officer not being run by the Township and being run by a private firm. If the Township was the only municipality that the private firm provided for, maybe, but the present firm represents ten other municipalities and can’t be 10 places at once. It makes no sense. I’ve only called twice in the past 5 years but both times was told no officers were in the area and they would get to my issue when they got back in the Township. Not a good system to help us when they are dealing with problems in another town.
