Cape May Beach - The Leading Light Wind project, plans called for 100 turbines 40 miles off the coast of Long Beach Island, has been paused again after the original supplier had problems and the remaining supplier drastically raised the price. People get nervous when blades from these turbines start flying off and insurance rates for those that remain increase drastically, as does the cost of replacement blades from those that remain. That blade incident fouled the beaches up there for weeks with shards of fiberglass very difficult to remove. With Trump coming in this project is going nowhere. Finally.
