Cape May Beach - It’s obvious the solution to the SALT tax deduction dilemma is to make it income dependent. People making $200K shouldn’t get it and should instead consider voting for politicians that aren’t extreme spenders with no ideas and a terrible political agenda. To give this deduction to rich people and let failed leaders that can’t control their spending off the hook doesn’t, can't, and won’t solve the problem. Many people are house poor because of the rapid increase in home values and property taxes and income hasn’t kept up. They are the only people that should be targeted for SALT tax relief.
