We vacationed in CM every year for 30+years before buying a 2nd home here.we loved shelling every summer and found many beauties. The past few years we can only find shells at the Cove. Any shells along the Beach Ave beaches are pulverized by heavy machinery. I understand the need for well maintained beaches, but is all that machinery necessary to that extent? Shelling is a gift of nature and wonderful activity let’s preserve those jewels of the sea and back off the constant grooming.
