In the competition for viewers on the cable news channels, I must say how impressed lately I have been with the seemingly independent coverage of the news by CNN, without the obvious partisan talking points of the other channels, whose employees seem in the pay of the two parties. The exhaustive coverage of the Russian plane disaster and the Paris attacks was thorough, non-partisan and so informative.
