I live in Delaware and picked up you city paper. September 11, 2001, I was at work in Washington DC, 7th and E street. The Head Quarter for AARP, as the Director of Security for that building, at 8:40 when the first plane hit, I was in my office watch the morning News, and when it happened, I call the Director of Operations, telling him that we need to evacuate the building and send everyone home, I seen this as an attack in the beginning, AARP was one of the first big organization to release their staff, not knowing if this was an attack on Washington as well.
