Is the Belleplain Fire Company still functional?

Belleplain - Is the Belleplain Fire Company still functional? Just wondering why Dennisville Fire seems to be responding to calls in our area rather than Belleplain? We pay a fire tax to the township for Belleplain fire? Had a gas leak at my home, less than a mile from the Belleplain fire station yet waited about 15 minutes only to have a Dennisville truck show up. Thankful for the volunteers of Dennisville, but the distance clearly delays their response.
