Avalon - A woman was almost killed June 24, running out of her car to stop traffic and “save” a turtle on Avalon Boulevard. There needs to be a law to protect drivers from those who feel compelled to run out into the middle of the road to save reptiles. If the turtle can make it on its own, then hooray for that turtle. If not, then let it to its fate and decrease the surplus population.
