What were our town officials thinking?

Avalon - What were our town officials thinking? Allowing Atlantic Electric to replace existing poles with towering hydro-electric-looking poles. They just ruined once beautiful Seven Mile Island. With Ocean Drive to be repaved, electric and utility lines should have been placed underground. Do 2,000 full-time residents need this type of upgrade at the expense of destroying our shore town ambiance? What is Avalon's back-up plan if Stone Harbor succeeds in blocking these poles? Very suspicious how fast these were put in place on Ocean Drive. Avalon is no longer the shore's best.
