Avalon - With the wealth represented by a community like Avalon, it is surprising to see the number of non-ADA compliant walkways at the street corner intersections. Maneuvering a child stroller is difficult enough, let alone a person in a wheelchair. Since Avalon wants to portray itself as providing pedestrian-friendly access to their beaches, they have some room for improvement. All they need to do is look to some of their less wealthy neighbors to the west who have made the sacrifice to permit equal access to all of their residents and visitors.
