Avalon - Ugly, metal poles, speeding and cell phone use, black pines needlessly being cut down, beach replenishment which never works; the only solution is to attend council and environmental meetings. It's an eyeopener! It seems decisions have already been made before the meetings occur. Also, it would be nice if the mayor would attend a few meetings to hear what the residents have to say firsthand. Full-time and seasonal residents must make the effort to attend meetings to voice their concerns. Also, alert your neighbors to issues that will affect them.
