Trump was never going to have the 67 votes needed to remove him from the very beginning, and the main carry-over issue from 53 Trump-cowed senators to go before the American public this November involves whether or not the entire Republican Party is complicit in a cover-up to hide the truth from the American people and the entire world. My guess is that a well-deserved reckoning will be coming for Republicans on ballots everywhere, with an even bigger shellacking than the 2018 midterms.
