Both statements are blatant, pandering lies. No Supreme Court nominee with an anti-Second Amendment view would be approved by the Senate. And it is the NRA and its supporters who put lives at risk. By opposing every gun-control effort, the NRA makes it easier for the "bad guys" to get guns. Then it cynically and hypocritically tells the public, "You need guns to protect yourselves from the bad guys."
