Avalon - Those who spout that "Obamacare" is socialized medicine are announcing to the world that they are misinformed or disinformed. They throw the term around carelessly without the slightest clue as to what socialized medicine is. Under a true socialized medicine system, the government owns health care facilities and health care providers work for the government. Neither is true under the Affordable Care Act. Under the ACA, when we receive health care services, it will be from members of the private sector, just as we do now.
