Avalon - There’s a shell game going on in Avalon. The Borough points fingers at the new Anchorage owner for plans that lack a gas dock/boat lift. They should look in a mirror to see who is really at fault. Borough officials and legal counsel are public servants who failed; they are supposed to retain public property and services. Part of 20th St. was vacated in 2010 without requiring public amenities in perpetuity; now they cry foul, yet they are the ones who did not document the requirements. Stop the games. Add up the cost of this folly, replace inept counsel, settle with the new owner and move on.
