Avalon - A study of congressional staff salaries further illustrates the contrasting values of the Democratic and Republican parties. While male staffers make more than females in both the House and Senate, the difference in the pay gap for Republican staffers far exceeds the difference for Democratic staffers in both chambers. In the House, male Republican staffers make on average a whopping $10,093 more than their female counterparts, while for Democrats the difference is $1,474. In the Senate, the corresponding numbers are $9,806 and $4,916. Another example of the Republican party's war on women?
