Avalon - A Stone Harbor Spouter states that he or she "listened to a guy" who claims that 90% of IRS audits are performed on incomes of less than $200,000 a year. According to the Government Accounting Office, in recent years ,IRS audited taxpayers with incomes below $25,000 and those with incomes of $500,000 or more at higher than average rates. The Spouter's "guy" is apparently mistaken or misinformed. Where did the "guy" get his information?
