Avalon - Stereotypes are usually dangerous. One of the most popular stereotypes is that older workers are not able to handle technology. It's highly improbable that someone could totally avoid technology while remaining in the US workforce for the last 35 years. Still, stereotype fans will find examples of older Luddites. Of course there are young Luddites as well. It's easy enough for an employer to find out if this particular applicant, regardless of age, is competent with this particular system. No applicant's proficiency should be assumed. That's just bad business
