Avalon - To the spouter who notes there were hotels and a boarding house on 21st St., that is correct, as most folks could not afford more than a night or two away, and certainly not a second home. If we'd like to set the wayback machine to 1965 or 1970, let's take down all the 45-foot tall McMansions and replace them with one story cottages on large lots. Breakfast at Sullivan's, light, air and open space works for me. You can't have it both ways, pointing to a long gone past and claiming it's right for today. The zoning changed, and sadly, so did the people and the values.
