Avalon - The spouter who made it sound like the Avalon Planning and Zoning Board rarely turns down variances should attend more meetings. For those of us who attend the meetings, the board approves, rejects and more importantly requires changes to plans, allowing them to approve the requests. Board members make decisions based upon borough ordinances and facts. It doesn’t matter who is on the board. Also, if the changes are de minimis (too trivial or minor to merit consideration, especially in law), there is better chance for approval.
