Avalon - Someone made a telling comment about the gun fanatics of the NRA and the Second Amendment: As long as government, and too many of our citizens, hold to an anti-Christian, pro-NRA, pro-gun view, and subscribe to an interpretation of the Second Amendment as "any gun, anyone, anytime, anywhere," we have lost our First Amendment right to peacefully assemble. We can't go to school, the mall or other public places without fearing that some maniac, enabled by the NRA's opposition to gun control laws, will go berserk and shoot people.
