Avalon - A recent Spout cites the melting of an ice cap that covered parts of Cape May County 12,000 years ago as evidence that we need not be concerned about global warming today. That's absurd. There's a critical difference between warming events 100's or 1000's of years ago and global warming today that skeptics/deniers conveniently overlook or blissfully ignore: Today there are billions of people on the planet to suffer the ill effects of climate change, change resulting from the impact of those billions on the planet, including the extraction and burning of fossil fuels.
