Avalon - A recent scam by a national bank's employees emphasizes the importance of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Bank employees opened more than two million fake checking, credit, and debit accounts in order to meet sales targets. Customers were victimized by fees for accounts they didn't authorize or open. Debt collectors haunted some customers for charges on phony accounts. The CFPB investigated and levied hefty fines against the bank, but Donald Trump says he'll abolish the bureau. If you don't mind being cheated and taken advantage of by unethical banks and corporations, vote for Trump.
