Avalon - The proposal by Democratic legislators in the New Jersey Legislature to change the process by which the state draws legislative districts is another assault on democracy. Too many nails have already been hammered into the coffin of democracy by the Supreme Court's perverse Citizens United decision, by gerrymandering by both parties, and by Republican attempts to suppress the turnout of voters who would likely vote Democratic.
