Avalon - A police officer (of any race) is 18 times more likely to be shot by an African American male than an African American male is likely to be shot by a police officer. That is not a racial problem, that is not a police problem, it is a social problem. In several cities, Baltimore for example, more than half of the police are black or Hispanic. They get shot by African Americans too. Poverty, ignorance, substance abuse, one-parent families and a culture of negativity is what is killing young black men. It is time that both American blacks and whites address this head on, without excuses.
