Avalon - To the person who is "saddened" that so many Avalon storefronts are no longer independent stores. I had one of those "independent" stores, and it was a struggle to get residents and visitors to shop with me. Between Amazon and other online services, I couldn't match the prices found online. Customers would see what was in my store, take a picture, google it, order it online and have it delivered in one to two days. Independent owners have a 2.5 month season to make their numbers for the year, and if people aren't shopping with them, they will not survive. Shop local.
