Avalon - Once again Avalon is proposing to turn the natural beach below the Fishing Pier into a sand pit, destroying the ecosystem and dune profile. All to supply sand for the manufactured beaches in the north end. This area was never intended to be the only sand source ,yet it was used as such in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and will be again in 2022.
