Avalon - An Ocean City spouter says that no one wants more gun massacres, and then proceeds to claim that the only way to stop them and the epidemic of gun violence in this country is to punish the criminal. In other words, we have no choice but to endure more Auroras, Virginia Techs or Sandy Hooks. Wrong. Just as it's better for an individual to take steps to prevent or reduce the chance of disease, rather than waiting for disease to strike, so too is it better for our society to reduce or prevent the disease of gun violence through stronger gun-control laws, but the NRA opposes that approach.
