Avalon - An Ocean City Spouter claims that the "fed Govt." has no constitutional power over such things as retirement, health care, education, child care, and printing money. The claim is blatantly FALSE. The introduction to the Constitution provides that the Constitution is "ordained and established" to grant the federal government the power to "ensure domestic Tranquility" and to "promote the general Welfare". Promoting the general welfare includes all those powers cited by the Spouter. Section 8 of the Constitution specifically gives the government the power to "coin Money".
