Avalon - A number of spouts have claimed that Americans armed with pistols, rifles, even semi-automatic rifles, will deter any country from attacking America. One Spout cites the situation in the Ukraine as an example. The notion of a ground invasion of the United States in this day and age is absurd to say the least. Guns and rifles would be of absolutely no use against ICBM's or laser-guided bombs dropped from planes at high altitudes. Or, for that matter, against cyber warfare, which experts agree presents the greatest threat.
