Avalon - Nobody was swimming June 1 because the water was 59 degrees. At 3 p.m., Murray Wolf, captain of the beach patrol, decided all the surfers should vacate the surfing beach. Does he realize the surfers are the ones who usually save the lifeguards who can't swim outside of a pool? Surfers, don't be afraid to reach out to the council and voice your opinions. We own property and vote, so let's be heard.
