Avalon - The news made a great deal out of the Pew report on the shrinking middle class. I agree that we, Baby Boomers did not have it as good as the Greatest generation, the pie charts they are using to show the disparity actually seem to show a good trend. Yes, between 1970 and 2015, the middle class actually did shrink from 59% to 42% of the population, a 17% decrease. However, in that time period, lower incomes were reduced from 11% of the population to 10%. And best of all, upper incomes have climbed from 30% to 47%. That 17% increase seems to show that 17% of the population moved up, doesn't it?
