Avalon - The New Jersey state law for bikes is helmet for under 17, white front light and red rear light. Why don't the police enforce the law? You cannot see people on bikes at night. Even worse, the Avalon bike cops have helmets and front lights, but no red rear light. It will take a tragedy to have the law enforced at the cost of some poor motorist.
